We’ve spent more than two decades developing and delivering dance programmes for children and young people across educational and community settings.
We understand that no two groups are the same. Our experience allows us to adapt our teaching methods to suit different ages, abilities, learning needs and environments, creating positive experiences where every young person has the opportunity to participate, develop and thrive.
Whether introducing dance for the first time or building on existing skills, we meet young people where they are and support them to progress.
Our sessions are led by skilled dance practitioners who bring professional experience, creativity and passion into every learning environment.
All RISE practitioners engage in ongoing professional development, maintaining their dance practice while keeping up to date with safeguarding, behaviour management and developments within the industry.
We recognise that every dance style has its own history, culture and identity. Through our extensive network of specialist artists, we ensure dance is taught with authenticity, integrity and respect for its roots.
We’re also proud to welcome RISE alumni back to Bristol to share their knowledge and experiences. These artists offer young people relatable role models, demonstrating where dance can take them and inspiring the next generation.
We don’t just deliver dance sessions. We help teachers develop the skills, confidence and knowledge to bring dance into their own classrooms.
Our continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities provide practical guidance on planning, delivering and adapting dance activities for different ages and abilities.
We support teachers to challenge stereotypes around dance, overcome barriers to participation and create inclusive environments where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves.
Our aim is to make dance feel accessible to all educators, regardless of their previous dance experience.
Dance doesn’t have to be limited to PE or the performing arts.
We work with schools to explore how movement can enhance learning across the wider curriculum, including STEM subjects.
By bringing physical movement into classroom learning, we offer pupils alternative ways to explore concepts, express ideas and reinforce their understanding.
From using movement to investigate scientific processes to exploring mathematical patterns through choreography, dance can help make learning more creative, interactive and memorable.
Our approach encourages teachers to think differently about how dance can support learning throughout the school day.
We want the benefits of dance to continue long after our sessions have finished.
That’s why we provide exclusive teaching resource packs designed to give educators the confidence, inspiration and practical tools to deliver their own engaging dance activities.
Alongside our CPD and lesson-planning support, these resources help schools embed dance into everyday teaching and build on the foundations established through our programmes.
It’s about creating lasting opportunities for both teachers and pupils.
Every school is different, and we believe dance provision should reflect that.
We work closely with schools to develop tailored packages that meet their individual needs, priorities and available funding.
Whether you’re looking for curriculum enrichment, specialist workshops, teacher CPD or a longer-term dance programme, we can shape our offer to deliver meaningful experiences and make the most of your resources.
Our goal is simple: to make high quality dance education accessible, inclusive and impactful for every school we work with.
