On one of the hottest days of the year, Helen and Luke (RISE Directors) travelled with Performance Group to Hannover in Germany for a brilliant week of dance, cultural exchange and friendship. Bristol and Hannover are twinned cities and the trip was part of the celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of the twinning. Funding from The Bristol Hannover Council and UK German Connection made the trip possible.
We had a fantastic week and were looked after really well by our hosts; the week culminated with a performance at Hannover City Hall in front of dignitaries from both cities, and we featured in the Hannover newspapers. Planning is already underway for a return visit from our Hannover friends to Bristol in 2023.
